Default Three weeks now, still noYank!

I'm getting a little tried of waiting for my torque converter to show up, I placed the order 3 weeks ago today. Tom said it's coming directly from Yank, I e-mailed Yank asking them the status of my order and they never got back to me.
Just venting!

Sorry to hear that. I ordered my Yank TT3000 straight from Yank for $778.00 and it arrived in 3 days.

Group purchases take longer than ordering direct from Yank. Dealers like T Byrne need to pay for the converters in advance for a large group purchase. That often means the converters don't start getting built until the check has been sent to Yank by the dealer, even if your payment was given to the dealer weeks before. When time is of the essense, remember order direct from Yank and save time. Time is money. Hopefully, you are saving a ton by purchasing through T Byrne.

All of the converters are ordered after the GP comes to a close and then built as Yank goes through production (they do batches of each type of converter). Billing doesn't have any to do when the converters are built. If we order 10 or 20 converters at a time that may slow down the production schedule a little. Here is a note from the GP section of our website -

Most products to fill each GP are ordered at the end of the GP. They usually take 1-2 weeks to ship from here, but some items could take longer based on the size of the group purchase and availability with the manufacturer. Depending on the product and our available stock, some orders will be shipped from here shortly after the GP comes to a close.

We've had regular orders ship in 2 days and then some have taken over 4 weeks. It just depends on what you order and what is available at the time.

Most of the GP converters shipped last week and the rest are going out tomorrow.

Hope this helps,
Tom

I ordered the 2600hd in Dec 16, 2001 and did not receive until Feb 13, 2002. I was not in a rush, so it didn't really bother me. The only thing I didn't like is that it was charged to my credit card immediately when I ordered it. I'm glad i was not in a rush and waited b/c it made quite a noticable difference.
