I've been looking for a cam like that used.

Naked Av, your in Cali and I'm sure you stressed very heavily that yours is a daily driver and is so far before it becomes performance oriented. Also, I tlaked to 2 different guys there, Matt and someone else, the other guy recomended something like that, but I think it was more since it was an off the shelf cam, and the other guy liked doing things better. That's all speculation though.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot that I was in 'Call-ee-forn-yah' for a minute.. Maybe others don't have to worry about emissions, or daily driving. I do know that they smog only every 5 years on new vehicles now, so that's pretty cool.

Not really, good question.

 

The 115LSA is to minimize valve overlap and the accompanying loss of boost.

 

Hrm... so a tight LSA is better for N/A like a 110*? I assumed LSA only contributed to idle/vac as well as the peak/fall off of the powerband.

 

On a boosted motor you don't need valve overlap to draw the mixture in the forced induction does that for you on a NA motor the overlap causes a scavaging effect to help draw mixture into the cylinders.
