Seems reasonable, for square-port heads at least. Not so much for cathedral ports, you'll be giving up some torque especially. If your heads are cathedral-port I'd suggest dropping the exh duration back by 6 - 8° or so and making it more like 112 +4.

To be honest I'm not sure if the heads are cathedral or square. Here are the stock heads from the L87 of mine. They look more like square to me.

they are getting ported and blended.

Yup; whole other deal. Unrelated to "2008 GMC". Those are somewhat like square-port LS heads though.

What are we actually working on here?

I currently have my 2020 Silverado 6.2 having DFM deleted, cam, lifters, springs, push rods, heads ported and blended, intake ported, headers and tuned.

yea I agree. I just couldn't swing a whipple with doing everything else. My main goal was to get rid of the dfm garbage. Maybe within the next year when better fueling is available for these 19+ trucks.
