I was just wonderin what many of you guys think about the 350vortec engine!How do yall think they are in performance an reliability?

You cant handle the truth!Reliability good.performance limited.You are asking this because you see the potential of the LS1 based motor.Stop throwing good money after bad and unload your project and get into the modern era and go with at least a 5.7 displacement LS1 based motor for pennys on the dollar.

 

the vortech 350 has definate performance potential...but it's easier with an LS1 to make big numbers. you can swap, intake/heads/cam on that vortech motor and make good power, there's all kinds of different things you can do. and the heads on them are really pretty good as is.

 

the vortec 350 is a truck motor and the LS1 is a racing motor

 

350 = no top end

raced a modded 98 before. when i hit third it was like he put on the brakes
