Default Thoughts...

Im about to sell my Hellcat. Wife and I want to get my silverado where it needs to be.
We are on the fence about which supercharger setup to run with. (02 with LQ9 from 05 Escalade conversion)
I am thinking of TorqStorm with a low profile Tick Performance Intercooler & Holley Hi Ram manifold.
OR....should I get the adapter plates and a used LSA Blower?
I will have a supporting cam/springs as well as ring gap, oil pump, water pump, and stall. Fuel system
will also be made adequate for the setup to be usable and reliable. Key is reliability with my choice.
I am NOT building it for being a drag truck, but a daily with the power I like, as well as towing power.
(could change to rec port heads if in the end is cost effective and reliability is better)

Pros and Cons for either setup would be helpful.

TorqStorm, Hi Ram, cam, are all biased towards higher RPM. Is that where your Silverado needs to be?

Not necessarily. I want a street performer, occasional 1/4 mile, but the ability to tow and be streetable.
This is a daily driver. So it doesnt have to be high rpm based.

PD type would be better for this over a centrifugal?

I suggest a TVS 1900 or 2300

No way I'd do centi and hi ram on a daily. As above I think a 1900 would be awesome for your situation. My2.9 isn't laggy at all so a 2300 as well. Not a downside that I can see.

The setup with the TVS 1900 is on the list.
What changes would need to be done for the 2300 to work, I see its listed for later generation trucks.
Rec port heads?

What about the whipple 2.3L?

Having towed cross country with a ProCharger P1 on a cam'd 5.3, can confirm; not ideal

TVS1900 for the win

Tvs1900 with a free flowing exhaust is the way to go. I swear my rcsb could pass with my Duramax with the same load, it has more power on tap at throttle tip in than the diesel.

Well, at least I have that covered. I have some LTs and catless ory (might throw catted ypipe back on).
I do have 4.11 in a Yukon DuraGrip fashion (That made a HUGE help over my 3.73s that I had). My truck
does have a tune, so its no slouch, but after driving a 392 Scat Pack Charger then a Hellcat Charger....
My LQ9 Silvy feels like a Fiat 500.

After some research I think I've ruled out the centrifugal SCs. I like the cost of the TorqStorm, but not the end game
practicality it shows, for my situation at least.
