UM, the kit pictured above is TOTALLY different than the standard whipple kit. This one sits where the intake should be, like radix does, but is much bigger. Also, nobody made any mention of using any of whipple's electronics.

So what would be the point of the kit?? I would want it to come with everything I need to install and go.
I mean wouldn't you want in to come with electronics so everything works right?
Ease of installation and HP & TQ right out of the box is what I would want.

If you want everyting to work right out of the box, buy a radix.

The kit pictured above is the LSx "tuner-kit" meaning that it comes with the blower, heat exchanger and manifold. I think an adapter to use a GM 90mm TB too.
If you want a 3.3L blower, buy this kit, spend some $$ on some big injectors and get a really good tune. Oh and figure a way to run the 10 rib belt that works with the kit.

I agree with the fact that there electronics are junk. We are actually building are own program for him with injectors etc. They might be changing the tuning with this new kit though. We will have to see.

Not bashing, but what are the advantages of going with that kit over a turbo kit? I would think the parasitic loss would be substantial. Or is this just what the customer wants?
it seems everyone loves big blowers, I guess thats why I dated.... never mind

IF that thing will fits under the hood and wiper cowl, sign me up.
Please say it is so, injectors and tune are not a biggie, fit may be,

One of the advantages of running a screw type of blower over a turbo is the abilitly to tow with a ton of low end power and boost. It is going in a ESV so it will need all the torque it can get. Yes, a turbo will produce more power on top, but for his setup he wanted something for the old family wagon, rather then pure hp and torqe on top. He will not be running a stall at all. So he needs torque from 1500 up.

I am glad to see a US company take an interest in this setup. It has been my dream setup to have a 402-408 with a topmount 3.3L for a few years now. If any of you have seen Star Performance's yellow Monaro with the 3.3 topmount know how violent the launches are with all that instant torque.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Power from almost idle to as high as it will allow. I have a 2005 LQ9 6.0L in my ECSB Silverado. I would really like to know how this Whipple blower install turns out.
I've been looking at blower that will allow for more power than the Radix will produce.
Let me know what electrics or what you had to do to make this kit work effecient and reliable.
I myself will not be installing a higher stall torque converter due to the fact I will be having to pull a boat from time to time.
Let me know if it will work on my truck without major issues for the install or modifications.
