I'll say it one more time.
Pacesetter LTs improve low rpm torque noticeably.

60K mi. on mine, still happy.

Living in ND, I see snow and ice six months out of the year. So I just dont know how long the pacesetters would hold up. And it seems like the OBX have fitment issues in the 4wd trucks. I've been leaning towards the Thorleys from the start but I love getting info from people with experience. Thanks guys and keep the posts coming!

Pacesetter's are the way to go unless money is no object...basically they all do the same thing...especially on a more or less stock truck. More thought should be put into something like John's setup but he's running a boosted 6.0. on a stock 5.3 it's not going to make any difference for a DD truck. Get yourself a tune and the pacesetter's for the same price as a set of stainless works or ASM lt's.

When I had my 01Yukon, I put the Thorley's on it, upgraded the trans and shift points. I did that because I needed low end torque. I pulled a 7500lb enclosed trailer and it was able to keep the car in OD at 75 mph on flat and rolling highway. That was my goal and they worked very well. Today I pull the trailer with a 04 Escalade 6.0L with the same trans mods and it pulls exactly the same. The E has 50 more ft-lbs of torque but the Thorleys and a 200lb weight difference made the 5.3L pull the same. HTH

really? see, i noticed a slight loss on the low end. i actually lost about a tenth and a half of a second on my 60' when i added the pacesetters, however they took off 3 tenths of my over-all quarter mile time.

Did you spin more with the LTs?

I assume westers tuned it for the headers.

It was really noticeable when I put my manifolds back on to get a TC seal done under warranty.
I drove it for about 2 weeks, and couldn't wait to get the LTs back on.

Living in ND I don't think the Pacesetters will last. And from what ive found on pt.net the OBX don't fit the 4wd trucks very well. Other options out there though.

You still lose low-end with the truck tuned for LTs? I thought the tune was what made back the low-end loss?

I tend to believe Modoo. Several people claim loss of lowend with a cutout, but in my experience my cutout gains everywhere. I could only imagine even better exhaust flow would make better power everywhere as well
