Question Thorley headers.

I bought some doug thorleys off of a member on here. Since thorley dosent make a y-pipe he took the cats off his stock one and used it. I havent recieved his modified y-pipe yet. So im wondering if the headers will bolt directly up to my stock y-pipe with out too much trouble, because im tired of waiting for ups.

From what I've read, the longtube Tri-Y's are supposed to almost fit up to the inlet of the cats in their stock position. Almost in that there is some slight cutting and welding and such that has to be done, but nothing too huge. Again, that is what I've only read, so who knows. I liked that aspect, which is why I'm pretty interested in getting me some Thorleys too.

If you buy them new, they come with a header flange that welds on just before the cats. You cut your exhaust pipe at the cat, slip on the flange and weld it. It is best to have the headers on and lightly bolt the flanges together before you start welding.
