I am thinking of trading in my Z28 for a Silverado or a Sierra. I would really prefer a regular cab shortbed, but I guess you can't get that with a 6.0L. So what are my options? I haven't decided on new or used yet. Any ideas?

I like the Sierra's looks better myself. The 5.3 is a pretty good all around engine. Nice power and good gas mileage. If I were you I would get a 5.3 scsb Sierra. I don't think you will be disapointed.

 

if your in texas you can get one with a 6.0

 

Id get a used 4.8 RCSB chevy (I like the SS look). With the money saved just drop a 6.0 in there and you are on your way!! Of course you could start with the 5.3 and give me some advice on figuring out the tuning especially VE tables

if your in the southwest you can get the vho which is the 6.0 in a extended cab with stock 20's and it looks good. or you can get the chevy/silverado with the 5.3 3.73 and g80. If I had to do it again I would have gotten the VHO but they didn't mention to anybody that they would be out a couple of months after I bought my truck. What are your plans with it? or as they said buy a used 4.8 and drop a ls1 or 6.0 or stroker in it with teh saved money and pimp it out.

 

Get a new Hemi!!! j/k. It really depends on if you're in the market for a used truck or a brand new one. I had my mind made up that I was going to get a new one this year, but it felt too damn good not to have a monthly payment, so I just bought a few go fast items for this one. I would say buy a 99-00 with a 4.8L and get your hands on a nice 6.0L. Then go from there. I'm also bias when it comes to stepsides. I always loved stepsides.

8100 Vortec.

Get a 2500HD EXcab 4x4, lower a inch or so, get the SS body kit, so it looks like an ss with some custom wheels to complete the look. Then MOD the crap out the 8100, then TURBO!!!! You will destory All!!! Best thing is you can tell people that you have a 6.0!!! "Yaah Its just a 6.0 liter"
