Almost any cam will be an improvement over stock. You need to figure out what you want to use the truck for and what kind of driveability you're wanting before you go any farther.

Hey well i don't really know what converter is on my truck, because when i bought my truck it was already install, but i found out because one of my cuz tried it out, and well when i have the brakes on with my left foot and while im giving the truck some gas, it dosen't peal off thill the RPM's are at almost 1600 RPM's so, i guess what good, so any of ya have any ideas what kind of Converter do i have.

it depends on what you want.. do you want good sound? Choppy idle? Smooth Idle?

206/212 cams are better than stock and have stock idle
212/218 cams are better than the above but idle is hit or miss(might need tuning and a 2600-3000stall)
220 cam is bigger and better, but you need a 2800-3000 stall to make up for low end loss and more than likely idle tuning.

the bigger you go, the more lope/choppy sound you get

Hmm... I wonder why no one suggests Comp cams. Ah well... guess I'll have to see what they do when my C10 breaths again!
