If you put that cam in make sure you get some video of it at idle. Gotta see that thing rock.

I see that you STILL haven't gotten off of the crack...HPE 408 is $3899 w/ no core!

And HPE has a 2 year no power adder warranty. SLP has NO WARRANTY AT ALL!

too big even for the 402 IMHO a 232/232 is still a mild cam for something that size but what your looking for is unreal and unreasonable especially in a 5.3

i agree that the cam choice there would be too big. in order to use that cam you're certainly going to want to do a little work on the heads including milling them. that big of a cam is going to need some compression. you'd also want a 4000+ stall and a shift point between 7200-7500....

i am with everyone else.

i have a 234/232 115 and in a na 6.0 it was a prety big cam. at least a 4000stall for that set up. in a 6.7L it is a quite a bit more mellow. i think a 5000stall for the cam you mentioned in a 5.3. thats just not practical.

Especially in a 5000lb truck. I would think if you're going for 7000+rpm and with that cam, you might wanna get a rev kit assuming its a hyd. roller.

I think you took the "lets go big" thing a bit to far Snake.
