Default Thinking about destalling and decamming a little

I love my truck and the way it launches now is bad *** for so much weight but it's kind of obnoxious to just drive around. I never really notice until I have people riding with me and since it's a Tahoe, that happens sometimes. You can't really have a conversation inside until the converter locks.

My motor feels like it has descent torque down low but I'm sure it would be better with a smaller cam. I think I'd like to get a stock trailblazer stall and something just a little bigger than an LS6 cam. Or maybe I'll try the stall first and see how my current cam does then go smaller if needed.

I have my stock torque converter. Maybe if I got a small torquey cam I could just use it. Can a tranny shop clean one out? It's been sitting around for a while.

Anyway, if someone has a smaller cam and wants to trade or a trailblazer stall that they want to trade, let me know. Deals like that usually help me make up my mind faster.

As usual, I can't make up my mind what I want to do. I'm pretty sure I'd like my truck a little more DD friendly. I'll build something smaller for a hot rod next time.

Is your current converter the Circle D 3200? 278mm? If so, I may be interested in taking that off your hands if you decide on a smaller stall.

That is the one. It works great. I just think I should tighten mine up a bit. It's a heavy truck. Let me see if I can find a good deal on a trailblazer one locally and I'll let you know.

I found a pretty good deal on a stock Trailblazer stall locally but I'm a little worried about it holding up behind my cammed 6.0 in my heavy *** Tahoe. I emailed circle D to see if they do restalls or anything like that. I don't think I can swing a new converter on my tight budget but I don't want to put something in that's going to break and take out the rest of the tranny. That would really blow the budget.
