You could definitly beat him. I took my friends 02 Lightning with a borrowed NX kit (125 shot). He was about half a truck behind me when we passed the 1/4 mark. Go for it!!!!!

I think it will be a good race with the 50 shot you are currently running. Pill up to the 100 and you should wax him pretty good. I had similar mods without a cam and a smaller stall and could run low 13s high 12s all day with traction.

What size gears do you have, remember your truck is an ext cab weight starts taking over after 2'nd gear. but with the 100 shot you should do it.
I have 4.10's on my ext cab and no stall and making 15.00 with a stall should go to 14.5, and with nx 13.6
You should win!!

beat his a$$. i hate lightnings. With the 100 shot you should give him a good beating. Let him stay close for the 1st 300 feet them hit the nos. That way he thinks he has you but then when you blow by him it really makes him feel like ****.

if this is a really hyped up race he might buy a chip, filter, pulley? I know I would for a really hyped up race.
if you plan on pulling mid 13's with the nitrous, just ask him to buy a filter to even out the race a little bit. amazingly lightings with filters alone have been known to get mid-low 13's. let us all know how it goes!
