Default Thermostat

Ordered a 180 t-stat put it in boiling water and it opened up at 195* so I am thinking if I order a 160* and if it opens at 175* this would be good. But every place I call and tell them That I have a 2004 Sierra Denali they say the don't have them and this include hypertech. found a place that has a 160* for a SIERRA 2500 ALL 1999-02 6.0L will this fit my 04 SD?

UPDATE: took my truck to the shop to have my Radix installed along with my e-fans, outlaw, WESTERS tune than once that is dialed in I will put my meth kit in. This should be one BAD truck
Thanks to everybody that has answered all my dumb question.

You should have the same T-stat as my truck.
Mine is the LQ9 H.O. 6.0L. Your engine should be the exact same.
I ordered my 160* t-stat directly from SLP Performance.
Unless your t-stat housing is different than mine, then it will be the housing and t-stat as one part.
My 2005 LQ9 6.0L called for just the t-stat. $30.00.
Either way, they should have both.

Except for my '03, which is a separate part. I guess they changed halfway through the model year on some vehicles.
