Default Texas Speed 408 LS1/Lq9 in a 2007

Will this motor smoothly swap into my 4.8 2007 4x4 silverado? I am assuming it will and all accessories will fit. I am trying to do this as cheap as I can. How much will keeping the stock intake manifold and throttle body hurt me? Are there any hidden costs or labor charges that I need to be made aware of? I know I will need a different converter and I will take my chances on the 4l60e until is takes a dump. I would get headers also ..of course.

When I bought the truck I was planning on Radix but on the surface it looks I can get into this motor and make more power NA for just a few grand more.

This truck will be a freeway warrior with some offroad use. No drag racing at all. It will retain on/off road radial tires. So not so much shock on the drive train as most of you put.

thanks

The stock intake will hurt you alittle but it will make up for it with the torque it makes. And I would just get the stock throttle body ported to help out. Dont forget you have to get it tuned which can cost $400-$600.

I was reffering to stock intake manifold. Headers will be done with the swap.

yes it should be a direct swap, your intake/injectors/fuel rails should be able to bolt right up to your 408 block..
