Alright,
I called up my shop i normally deal with over here "Deer Park Muffler" to ask if they have ever customized a Corsa Sport catback to be side exit instead in front of the rear tire instead of all the way out behind the rear tire. First, the guy tell me he is sorry to hear that i bought the Corsa catback cause its a shitty system. Then he procedes to tell me the only way to see power gains, fuel mileage increase and to get that mean deep sound is to go true duals with an x-pipe setup and flowmasters. He went on and on about how i should'nt have got the Corsa and that the only way to do it right is with true duals and an X-pipe. Then he tells me he would charge me $350 for 2.5" true duals on my truck. He was trying to talk me into selling my Corsa and taking the truck to him for true duals.
Ok... Is this a joke or what? Corsa is supposed to be the **** of the **** and this guys trying to knock it... lol
What do yall think? Can you really get anything more out of true duals than you can the y-pipe setup? From what i have been told, i thought the y-pipe setup actually performed better on the 5.3 than the duals did. Let me know what yall think. I wanna make sure i only do my exhaust once and do it right the first time so i want the best possible system i can get for performance and sound. I was currently planning on eventually running pacesetter LT's and O/R y pipe along with the Corsa catback. Is that my best bet?

Find a new exhaust guy. The main exhaust guy around here knows what he's talking about and he pushes people to get MagnaFlow. I'm sure he'd suggest Corsa too but I think its too much money for him to charge people.
Agree with everyone else, keep the Corsa.

WHo did you talk to? Mark? DP Muffler are only good for one thing, doing what you tell them too. They are bone heads but can bend an exhaust system with the best of them and give you a good price too. Take it to them and get them to do what you want with your corsa and tell them to STFU if they try and get you to do otherwise. Oh and dont let that bone head with all the tatoos on his arm do it either he is a retard.

That guy is moron at best.Sounds like a typical a#$hole trying to make a buck off you.Corsa is a very good system.IMO wayyy better than a Flowmaster system.
On the true duels...sounds like he is old school to me.On the newer trucks...like yours...the truck will suffer a decent lose in low end torque.
The best thing to do is stick with LT's and a ORY.This will give you the best power and not cause a lose in low end torque.

I know they can weld like a champ and prices are good but i have to agree that from now on i will not let them even give me the speal about what they want me to do. Ill just tell them to do what i want and STFU!! lol
Seriously guys, thanks for the help! I would be lost without all the answers i get from you guys on here and i even know a little myself. This site helps a bunch though!!
