I'm gonna have to take mine to a track soon to get some real times out of it but on the G-Tech I am running very conistant 15.40's with a few 15.20's and all I have is a K&N panel filter and a muffler (not a cat-back exhaust). I can only run those times with auto-4wh on and manually shifting it close to 6k at each shift. I don't care what anyone says about G-Techs because I run mine regularly on my fast cars and it is damned acurate for ET.

My truck is a 4X4 with a big stereo system in it so I have to weigh a lot more than this guy. So given very good weather conditions, low temps, low barametric pressure, humidity, etc. and some good shifting I believe it is possible (but I doubt you can do it without tirespin).

PS. I only run 15.90-16.10 when I let the truck shift itself.

i ran a g-tech on my truck and all i had was airaide and flowmaster and it showed 15.00 and when i took it to the track i ran a 15.8. i'm thinking that you might be a little dissappointed when you go the track.

Am I mistaken? I thought 99-01's had 5600 rev limit and 2002 went to 6000.???

OUCH! You guys are really killing him on this one. Maybe it was that excellent GM assembly line. With all of there piston slap troubles who knows maybe they messed up again and got some high compression pistons in there on accident.

I don't expect these things to be perfect but when I ran my Vette I avg. 13.20 with 5 runs. When I went to the track I went 13.30,13.24,13.00,13.44.

I've done my T/A when it was bone stock and ran an avg. of 13.66 on the G-Tech. When I took it to the track I avg. 13.70s with a best of 13.59.

I've done tons of testing on my Mustang back in the day and it too was acurate to within 2 tenths up or down. I have also tested in both directions on the same road (easier to make back to back runs) before people found out that inclines made a difference when testing.

But either way I will have to take it to the track to get true #"s.

Ohh, one other thing no one has asked him before calling BS is what is the elavation of his track, what was the weather parameters, how was he launching/shifting. Etc. I think too many people call BS before they find out specifics.

With the factory programming my engine only went up to 5100 rpm before shifting. Now it goes to 5600 before shifting with the superchips tuning.

my rev limiter hits at 6000 and i do shift it out of 2nd at 92 if u leave it in drive it bumbs out at 80 before with my old gears it lanched pretty well the reason i said no low in is becuse all it does is spin cant take off i cant even catch traction from 35 40 mph if im in first just smoke one tire but my 1/8 mile times are at differnt tracks one was a 1/8 mile track and the other was a 1/4 i run at hallsville thats why they may be differnt but i have ran against seaverl trucks just like mine with add ons and still edget them out pretty easy my dad has a 2001 reg cab with hyper tech flows and 3:73 and i take him he jumps me till about 60 then im ahead but my trucks stock or i havent done nothin to it bought it from chevy house o also went to track last night could not got best of 15.3 track was a bit slick did not catch till a good ways in to 2nd

man, no offense but u just sound like you exagerate a little. your saying you couldnt catch traction untill well into second gear, so basically you were spinning through almost the first 1/8th mile????
