Tci Torque conv, stock tranny cooler ok?
#1
Thank you guys for all the help on the torque convertor q's. I have decided to go with TCI's 3200 stall 9.5 diameter with 2.58str. I am going to install a tranny cooler, since I work for chevy I was going to buy the factory one that comes with the tow package on silverados. I can get it for 69.00 my cost. Kit comes with lines and everything, only thing is that it looks kind of small. Should I go with the stocker or get an aftermarket kit that might be bigger?

3200 w/ 2.58STR! Nice. Gotta take some pics of a smokey burnout!
The factory cooler is puny, I'd go for an aftermarket one that is big. I don't think it was smart saying that you work at a dealer...you have just opened a can of worms

You will like the speed difference. That converter is small diameter with high stall. It will be noticably looser than the stocker. Just say NO to towing also.
Have fun, and keep us updated.
