im curious if a tbss intake manifold and throttle body will make a difference on my truck. its an lq4 with basic bolts ons. i have a 216/220 525 535 cam i will be installing in the next couple of weeks. is this intake worth doing at all. are there any gains?

 

You probably won't see much of a gain. The 90mm TB will help, but the manifold won't do much.

 

will the throttle body bolt up and plug in?

 

tbss throttle body is 4 bolt and 90mm...stock truck is 3 bolt and 78mm

 

It's actually a very worthwhile gain, do it.

 

Is there any throttle body thats not outrageously priced that will fit my intake. I know alot of people are running ported ones. Whos the guy on here thats is porting them anyone know?

Would it make much difference on a cammed 5.3 if you added a tbss intake and 90mm tb? and is the tb plug and play on a dbw truck?
