TBSS intake and throttle body on 2006 Lq4?
I have a 2006 Lq4 that is completly stock with all accessories that I will be putting in a 1971 C10.
From reading some of the forums it looks like the TBSS intake, fuel rail, injectors and bigger throttle body would be a nice upgrade to the current LQ4 setup, especially when I do a cam later on.
Some say it is worth close to 6hp ? Not sure how accurate that is.
My question is the tbss intake and throttle body, will it fit on my 2006 LQ4 with NO water pump or accessory bracket mods?
thanks

It is a direct swap if you are going to be running the truck accessories, you may need to lengthen a few wires, by either removing them from the loom or extending them, but it is straight forward. And the intake does good for a factory piece. You will need a return less fuel setup tho, and possibly different throttle body depending on how you are setup. I.E. Cable/dbw

plan to have a harness made for the truck. so i assume i could tell the harness builder the truck would have a tbss intake and throttle body. plan to use drive by wire.
is it a noticeable bump in power very stock lq4 throttle body and intake, wondering if its worth it?

Is it true that the gen 4 truck intakes are the same as the tbss intake? Is the 2008 plus 4.8/5.3/?
I would think the TB on the TBSS intake is bigger and would be the better one to buy? Would think it would come with better/bigger injectors too?

Yes, the newer 07.5' - 13' 4.8/5.3 intakes are similar. They have cathedral ports. I am in the process of fitting an intake off of a 2011 L20 (4.8) onto a 2004 LQ4. My set up requires fuel rail modifications, it's going in a 2001 truck with a return fuel system. Thanks newer trucks are easier. (2003-2007 classic)

But the throttl body and injectors off a 4.8 and 5.3 intake would be smaller then the tb and injectors that came on the Tbss correct?
So getting a take off from a Tbss would be best for the large cube lq4?
