TB Spacers????

Alright whats with this, I hear good things and bad things about this damn thing. Ok can someone give me a good investigative stand point about TB spacers on our trucks. I'm looking at Poweraid

I don't think they're worth it at all. A couple of my friends have installed them on thier trucks, and it creates more trouble than its worth. They had a hard time getting the intake to fit with the shroud, and my friend couldn't shut the hood on his S-10!
I also don't see how moving the TB further will doing anything. I know they work for a carb, but thats because fuel and air are in the process of mixing and it increases plenum volume. In a FI truck...I don't see how they could do anything, because the fuel insn't introduced until the intake runners. Just my thoughts though.

Actually I'm trying to make room for a larger intake tube because I still have the fan in the way. It does make some low end torque.

What's the point in spacing a throttle body from
a cool plastic manifold? None.
What's the point in making turbulent inlet-end flow
when the fuel is delivered into the intake ports at
dead-air timing? None.
What's the point in making throttle body spacers?
Ask P. T. Barnum.
