I did it just to be like everyone else.
I don't think you would see any performance gains except in some kind of extreme situation. That throttlebody is gonna heat up anyway. Maybe it will keep it a few degress cooler? I just didn't think the coolant hose was necessary in Texas.

Let me clarify my response, it doesn't prevent buildup of gunk on the backside of your TB blade, however one of the intentions of leaving it hooked up is so that the crud and crap didn't adhere to the teflon coated blade so easily.

I went to go do this on my Hoe and the male end on the valve cover is bigger than the hose coming off the rad, so I guess I'm gonna go get a small length of hose and run it between the rad and valve cover, along with some hose clamps, and some caps for the TB, just for looks I guess, even though it's covered up haha.
The hose from the rad to the TB would go to the valve cover but it's a bit of a stretch, too much for me anyways.
