I was fixing to start a new thread about these .. but sine this one is dug back up ....
I got my replacement wires on today. It turns out that there is a different wire for the car and trucks, the car wires being a bit shorter than the truck ones. One thing I noticed is with an OHM meter, the stockers measured in k ohms, something like .7xx kohm, but the TV50's measured 50 Ohms.
Now I know my old wires were burnt up, so I don't know how good of a comparison this is, but I know it cleaned the idle up a good bit and it runs a lot better. If I didn';t know any better it doesn't take as much pedal as it did before either. They were a little difficult to put on but I think that's mainly because it's a thick heavy wire.

That's a perfect comparison, Flyer...
My old Avalanche's wires were 400ohms each... my SS's were 800 ohms each. (WTF?)
My TV50's measured in around 30-40ohms. - MSD's were in the 40's I believe.
Either way, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT with the wire upgrades!
Much better off idle throttle responce, and less pedal to get rolling along.
