Default taking headers off help

I cannot get my passenger header off. FRom the top it gets caught on the bottom of the AC thing(the silver canister attached the to firewall)
From the bottom, the EGR 'ear' hits the framerail.

99 Silverado 4x4 1/2 ton Pacesetter LTs.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a way I need to turn them? Or something I am forgetting?

You need to jack the truck up some to get it out.

not sure about this by the guy at the muffler shop told me if you take the wheel off and the plastic liner thing out, you can just set the header in place no problems, just stright on. i found this out after spending three hours or so fighting mine in to place. it worth a shot. let me know if it works.

Now I'm fucked. The ramp I was using collapsed while I was at work and it's now wedged between the AC thing on the firewall, the block, and the ground. I jacked it up, and it's hanging almost vertical, but will not move much. I'll try to get some pics, but judging form what's been written is there any other way to get these off short of cutting them.

pull the tire off and the inner fender well out, you will be able to get a better grasp on it, it has to come out if it went in.. Good luck

I got it off. We had to jack up the truck, take off the AC plate, move the tranny lines, but it's off now. It's got a little dent in it now, but is pretty insignificant.

Thanks for the advice. But I think it's time to move to a state that doesn't do inspection every other year.
