Default TA Rear End Girdle

Hey I just recently ordered a TA rear end conver/girdle, and was wondering if the cover itself got dirty, or messy after you put a few miles on the truck?

Would you suggest powder coating it?

thanks.

powdercoat it the color of your truck....it will probably be easier to clean with powdercoating....you can get it done fairly cheap too...i was told 30 each for my smoothed valve covers by a company up here. i'll give ya their info if you need it...

Mine is a mess! mostly because of the winter. I would love to smooth and powder coat mine.

I would vote powder coat. But on the other hand I would get it done in a flat or semi gloss black, just to keep some semblance of looking stock.

Mine still looks like I bought it. Just to let you know when I had mine put on, they used the gasket supplied with the cover and a couple of days later it started leaking. They took the cover off & the gasket layers became unlaminated. Then they re-installed the cover with some black rtv & I haven't had a leak yet.
