t56 shifter pics, wideband, guages
Some people had ask for pics of the t56 shifter location a while back. Just thought I might post a couple. Forgive the mess though... interior is super dirty. Guages, wideband, and shifter location.

The shifter works fine where it's at, but I don't like the long throw, even with the pro 5.0 (due to the longer shifter "handle") I'm going to machine a couple pieces to raise the shifter and shorten the throw.

Then I added boost, manual trans, gears, posi, headers and dyno'd at 542 ft/lb of torque and ran a 14.7 (I forget the MPH's) but I do remember getting 2.7 60' times (obviously terrible), but I did find that the gears are way too low, and with that much power I must have slicks, espcially at our local track, its super slick. On the street the truck is nuts. Last night I was goofing off and could break the tires loose at almost 80mph. I also know I'm running too much boost. Brian is recommending I go back up to a larger pulley (less boost) and add more timing to get more power. I'm also detonating at high engine loads (too much boost) so I need to get it down some. I just bought a house a couple months ago, so I've been spending a bunch of dollars on house stuff so the trucks been put off a bit. Now it needs some maintenance so it's time to find out what kind of clutch to go with, and i'm going to go back with a 3.73 gear. I've got enough power, there's not since in the low gears.
