I have an 02 4.8 \5 speed nv3500\ 4.10 gears\ 4x4 seirra and i want to do the lq9 swap.

what do i have to change? and can the 5 speed nv3500 tranny handle the lq9 even after some mods.

 

 

Yeah theres alot of info here, i posted almost the same question a few days ago here and got just about the same response.

Everything from your 4.8 will transfer even the heads so theres that.

Now for your trans i beleive they dont offer that trans in a 6.0 combo for a reason i may be wrong but i dont beleive its strong enough to last behind a 6.0

I'll be able to tell you a few days. I have a pretty stout 6L going in front of my NV3500. I'm not worried about it. Only thing shitty about the 3500 is it doesn't shift quite as fast as I like but oh well, I should be able take 90% of the cars on the road. Stay tuned, I will have a write up on my 6.0L and what I think of it in the coming days.
