Default Swap from 4.8 to 5.3

i am buying a truck real soon that has a 4.8 in it and i would like to swap in the 5.3 i need to know if it will just drop in and plug up or if i need more.
the truck is a 2003 rcsb with the 4.8 thanks.....

if you are going through all the trouble, you might as well pick up a 6.0. and yes, everything will bolt up. you will need a tune, though.

A 5.3L isn't worth the swap, go 6.0 or you'll regret it!

You could pick one up as cheap as $275(Damn TXSilverado) or a brand new one could be as high as $3000. I'd look around on ebay and car-parts.com and find a good one with under 60k for around $1200-1500

A 6.0L would be good. Also look around for LS1's! That'd be a nice upgrade as well!
