Default Suv ?

I am looking for some input/suggestions. I have an 04 Tahoe Z71 that currently has a Magnaflow 22 inch muffler in place of the stocker (part #12588). Even after 15,000 miles on the muffler the outside sound is just not quite enough for me (close but not quite).

Overall, I am pleased with the muffler however, I am really looking for a little more sound (outside). Based on searching the various forums I have come up with a list of potential options.

1. Shorter Magnaflow (18 inch) - May present a problem with drone?
2. Spintech Sportsman XL
3. Classic Chambered Powerstick - 26 inch.
4. Flowmaster 50 series Deltaflow - Would go with 40 series but concerned about the drone.
5. Corsa - Cat back only option and a bit pricey.

Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appeciated.

This really is a great forum!

i have the flowmaster 50 series on my denali, I have them turned down and i will tell you it is plenty loud outside, and is fairly quiet on the inside. I would start by having it run out the back and if that is to quiet for you then turn it down. or if you really want it loud outside, get the 40 series and run it out the back, and place the muffler as far back as possible, it wont be that loud inside and it will definitely rock outside.

I have the Corsa sport and I really liked the sound with just bolt ons but it has grown too loud since the Radix install. May try a Corsa touring next. Corsa is a pricey pipe but the sound, fit and materials used are top notch.

i had JBA catback- wasnt loud enough so i went with the SLP shotgun resonator- took out the muffler- extended the resonator to be the same size as the muffle and clamped it in- sounds awsome

Thanks to all for the input! ajt86, how loud is that SLP shotgun resonator? Is there much drone in the cabin? The SLP would sure be something different - LOL.

The Powerstick is the loudest muffler of all the ones you listed. I really want to hear one with cats because without cats its ridiculous. It is by far one of the best sounding mufflers I've ever heard though; second only to GMMG. Now, while it is loud it does not drone if you run the exhaust out the side; you dump it and all Hell breaks loose when you accelerate and everything inside the vehicle vibrates.
