Default Superchips shifting

First off let me say that this site is awesome. I have learned a lot about my truck. Now, I have an 03 Sierra 5.3 and I just got a superchips max micro tuner. I installed it with the preset configuratuion (performance-tow mode). I really like it but I was wondering if the harder shifts, both up and down, will have any negative effects on the life of my tranny. Also, it seems to have a slight "clunk" when it is downshifting into 1st gear when I am slowing down.I would be grateful for any input. Thanks!

Hey Jay, I recently bought the same unit and I have all gears except for 4th set for max pressure. I hear that it will not harm the tranny but will actually extend the life but am not for sure. What I don't like about the unit is that at slow speeds it does feel like a shift kit but at full throttle it's still a slush box. I will be installing a shift kit in about two weeks to compensate for the slushness. Good luck.
