Default Supercharger whine

But no charger. My truck sounds just like I have a charger on it, and I cant figgure out why. When I blew my 5.3, I put my cam (223/226 .576/.574 112) and FMS 7.4" pushrods in before it ever went in the truck. Ever since Ive had the 6l, I have the whine. I figured it may be alt whine, but id doesnt go away with the radio off, and it isnt coming through the speakers. A friend suggested maybe an intake gasket was pinched and leaking a little, but I sprayed the whole intake with starter fluid and found none. Im out of ideas, so I figure maybe someone here will have some suggestions.

Thanks

Does the crank have the short flange ??....if it's a 6.0 with the long-flanged crank it might have pushed the TC into the front pump on the tranny, and THAT will whine like a mother !!

My mustang sounded like that for a while, turned out it was the clutch on the a/c compressor.

I have a 5.3L and it whines really loud and progessively like a blower. I was gonna race this mustang in a turn from a stop light. Had it in 1st gear so I could hit the turn hard. As the light turned green, I hit it hard, heard a whine and then floored it thinking,"I'm not getting beat by a stupid stang today." By the time I was in second, the guy was totally like 10cars back. He thought I had a blower. My girlfriend was laughing soo hard!!
