Default Supercharger preference- Radix or Procharger?

I have been throwing around FI systems, and have kinda settled on either an ATI or a Magnacharger. I now the Magnacharger has better low end, and the ATI has better top end, but I was more wondering about user experience. Things like maintanance, driveability, motor longevity, waranty issues, etc.
Anybody who has one, I would appreciate feedback on both and dyno numbers if possible. I pretty much ruled out STS because it is a daily driver and here in Chicago we can get a lot of ice builup under the body and in the wheel wells, not to mention all the road salt and debris. It is my primary vehicle also.

I've run a Magnacharger for almost 2 years now with no reliability issues other than broken transmissions and a broken G80 differential.When I first installed my Magnacharger with ASM headers my 5.3 Tahoe dynoed 389rwhp and 414rwtq at that power level on street tires the Tahoe turned 14.41@98mph.

I currently have a magnacharger as well-You will be very pleased with the power/performance it will put out. No driveability issues either for me and i dont think there will be any!! my vote goes for the Magnacharger!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah i put down 398rwhp 412rwtq with a 3200 stall so im losing about 20-30rwhp due to that but its a freakin beast i know that!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot speak to the ATI. I've had the magnacharger on about 5 months now. No issues. Great Power. Hands downs the best "kit" horsepower I have every had the pleasure to own. Covers all the bases, the charger, plus fueling, intake and tune.

I have an intercooled p1sc running up to 11lbs of boost. The only problem I ever had was with their aluminum idler pulleys. I replaced them with steel Dayco idlers and haven't had any problems since. If you have an automatic, the magnacharger is probably a better bet. I went centrifugal because I have a 5 speed and I can "build" boost when launching.Either way, a s/c is a GREAT "bolt-on".

I have had a Magnacharger on my 4.8 for about 8 months now, and have had no reliability issues. I make a bit less power than the other posters (314 rwhp, about 350ish tq) but then again my tranny hasn't broken either. I do have a few gripes with the tune though, namely:

1: Cold idle and idle in D is too fast. Warm idle in N is OK so I don't think it's an air leak.

2: Cruising at 60 -70 in D (overdrive) if I give it even a little gas the TCC unlocks and engine speed flares. If I put it in Tow/Haul mode it works perfectly.

I have ordered HPTuners to work these kinks out.

Otherwise it is great. Except for the whine, which on my 4.8 sounds like someone strangling a sheep (slow 3.7" pulley), you would swear there was a 400+ CID big block under the hood.

If you are looking for daily driven HP and dependability.....I think your question is answered.

My procharged engine has 130,000 miles on it. The procharger has been on since the 70,000 mark. I beat the **** out of this thing on a daily basis. The only problem ever was the aluminum pulley/s. $30 later at a local parts store and that problem is solved. I have never had it tuned either (just got hptuners). I've played with the tuning a little and it has really made quite a difference. Anyway, IMO the procharger (or any centrifugal) is probably more dependable in a daily driver as it isn't always making boost. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I know from experience that the intercooled procharger set up(when properly maintained) is a VERY dependable system.

yeah i kinda had a feeling reading the header that most would say magnacharger but the fact is that the ATI is BAD @$$ man i was in stupidfasts truck when he first got it tuned and that was the meanest 6.0 i have ever been in or seen personally in my life he had people pull him over like TA's and such and say damn that thing has some top end and for the higher HP i understand that the ATI is better too (this might be a little extreme considering most have not had that issue until over 500 rwhp and most here wont get that high) and also blown chevy might disagree with me. all in all you cannot go wrong with either item as everyone else has already told you magnacharger driveability and performance and reliability is A+ but do not look over the ATI here is one vote for them

VOTES:
magnacharger = 5 ATI = 2
