Heard the powerdyne's suck like mentioned before compressors/bearings not any good. For me its either Radix/Vortech/Procharger w/3-core intercooler.

Yeah true thats gonna be hard adding 130 rwhp though. My thing is ok they both make about the same amount of hp both make boost at different points so what is actually better for trucks:roots or centrifical??

Installing a supercharger *NEVER* results in better fuel economy. Anyone concerned with fuel economy should not be installing a supercharger.

THere have been reports of people getting as good as 20 mpg with a RADIX. Whitt for one got somewhere around that I think. I, on the other hand, don't get anything near that. I suffer from a severe case of lead foot syndrome (to many lead paint chips maybe???) and have other things that kill my gas mileage.

You're driving habits have a LOT to do with you're gas mileage.

Any increases in gas mileage from a supercharger install are a result of the tuning being different. Even a canned Superchips tune that you can't modify will be better than the stock tune. Stock tunes are notoriously inefficient (same factory tune loaded into all vehicles, in spite of every vehicle rolling off the assembly line possessing different characteristics). Even in blowers with bypass valves (a la Radix) you still have an additional component added into the belt drive system off the crank. This extra friction is not free, there is a cost associated with it.

If you want free MPG, look into a turbo, not a supercharger.

I think JamesB is right. You shouldn't get a charger because you think it's going to improve your mileage.

I think if you are concearned about mileage, you really shouldn't have a truck anyway.
