Supercharger
#1
I am thinking about a supercharger for my truck. I see people running Radix, Whipple, Magna and a Vortech here and there. Do the prices range the same and I hope somebody will chime in on the hp numbers they got from there charger. Can someone let me know prices of these chargers, I just want the charger since I can install it myself. Also, is everyone having better luck with the screw type compared to the centrifugal? Thanks

Hey Mudz,
Check out superchargersonline.com for prices and other info. I have the older style side mount magnacharger and really like it. Never dyno'ed it but magnacharger reports 90-100hp increase when they did their testing (thats 5.5psi).
If money is not a big problem, go radix, more boost. I would suggest sticking with a screw or roots for a truck (my opinion). I am sure a centrifugual is fine but you would need to plan on a converter to help the engine reach the power band quicker.

The Radix is definately a good way to go. It gives you low end power that you will feel everyday and will provide you with a 130+ peak horsepower increase. The side mounted non-intercooled Magnuson is good for about a 100hp increase.
You will see about 100-110hp from the Vortech, about 120 from the ATI with the P-1SC head unit and 100-110 from the Whipple. Prices, pictures and info can be found in the Truck Supercharger section of our website and we currently have discounts available on all kits.
Hope this helps,
Tom
