you'll have to post up specs about your truck and what s/c you are looking at. 6.0 or 8.1 engine? Centrifugal, roots, screw-type s/c? How much boost do you want to run?

typically, you will pick up 120-150hp, but that is just a ballpark figure for a properly tuned s/c on an entirely stock setup. Some will be more, some will be less.

There are different type of superchargers. magnacharger is a roots style blower.

a 112 on a 6.0 with 8-9 psi should pick up 150hp properly tuned. There are some top notch tuners on this site who are sponsors; check out Nelson, Blackbear, and Wheatley, links on the right =====>

The 80E is a strong trans for sure....I'd put a shift kit and big trans cooler on it to complete the package...just my .02

Turbo kits can make more power at high rpm, but with as big a motors as these trucks have, they dont have terrible turbo lag. They also have more plumbing to set up (ie. up pipe etc). The STS mount the turbo in the back of the truck above the rear axle. I dont have any experience with their kit, but I would think if you off road, or drive in heavy snow it could create problems for you. Could someone who has an STS comment?
