Supercharger
#1
Thursday I'm going to applyfor a loan and get a supercharger. I'm only going to get $3000 because its hard enough paying for college. So I've found a few good deals on a Powerdyne but have yet to see a whipple on ebay in my price range. If I end up getting the powerdyne, what hp/tq numbers could I see? Also what 1/4 times have been seen with a powerdyne supercharged rcsb 5.3L? Does anyone have a sc they are wanting to sell in my price range in the next week or so?

Put enough money away to pay for repairs on the Powerdyne
They have a bad tendancy to break internal belts. I went through 3 on my Mustang before I ditched it in favor of a Vortech setup.

the new BD-11a compressors from Powerdyne have got a MUCH BETTER reputation than the older BD-10's and BD-11's.....but they DO tell you that the blower belt will only last 40,000-50,000 miles before it needs replacing
Figure on 40-45% more power than you have now....and the Powerdyne (like all centrifugal superchargers) makes boost as the engine rpm rises....at idle you may only see 1psi but at 3500 you will see full boost

I'm guessing mid 13's with decent traction....a higher-stall converter will REALLY help you with a centrifugal supercharger, since they rely on rpm to operate the higher stall and longer shift extension would REALLY help your power production
