Sorry, dont mean to highjack but, I would also like to get HP tuners SOON but dont have a laptop either, I want to know what exactly am I going to need on the laptop?? I'm dont know a whole lot about computers, just enough to get by. As long as I have some kind of decent instructions I'm ok. THANKS!!

You should probably contact HPtuners and see what they recommend. I remember reading on their site that they are looking at adding some features that require a little more umph, so you might want to check with them on that.

I've read a little bit about HPtuners regarding the .bin files, but I have some questions.
-If I bought HP could I download someone elses tune so I can get some results instead of waiting till I figure everythign out
- Does the program guide you through the process, show you how to tune your tranny, and for differnent mods?

You tune according to what the logs you have say. The trans stuff, is a little different. They are mroe upon personal preference. The help file with HPT is actually decent and somewhat informative.

The way I understand the HPTuners licensing is you can view other bin files you aren't licensed for, but you can't edit them or upload them. Besides that, it has to be one with the same segment 1 id which is probably not all that common, at least not in my experience.
