Default STS help

ok im new to increasing the performance of my truck. i want to get the sts kit for my 4.8 silverado auto trans. i was wondering what is exactly needed for this kit. i know it comes as a kit but im not sure if it has everthing i need for reliable use. eventually i will build the truck up, but for now ill be happy with the stock kit. do i need the fuel management, and injectors with the base kit. also what about the stock tranny will it be ok.

you can see what ive been doing to my truck up until nowTruck Pics

You should be OK with stock injectors that is if you keep the boost at 5 lbs. You definately need a tune. You need a shift kit and vette servo for the tranny and you should be good.

Personally I would do a set of injectors. 42# injectors should be sufficent. By the way. Your truck looks sick

I agree, do the 42# injectors and a set of NGK TR6 plugs. A Fuel Pump is a good idea as well. You'll of course need a Tune to go with it. Might be worth another $300 (i think) to go with the bigger turbo. Well, I could go on, there's just too much fun stuff out there!

You should size the turbo for your ultimate goal. If its below 500hp, then the basic turbo will do fine. Although the stock injectors will more than likely do fine for 5psi, it will add a measure of safety if you get the bigger ones and a pump. A tune is not an option; its required. Also, depending on what you are wanting out of the kit, a stall will get you out of the hole in boost.

o yea trust me i kno you can keep on going and going. ive already spent a heavy amount on the truck. i just want some more power. now can i run more psi with the base kit turbo later if i want more or do i need a new turbo too? what kind of tune is everyone using with the base kit? is it upgradable? can upgrade later a blow off valve(area on piping for it)?

What shift kit and servo does everyone recommend?

It would be awsome to roast my 22s while layin frame.

i was looking at the pics on sts site and it looks like the piping goes underneath the frame when going around the front body mount. i am right? if so i dont think ill be able to get the kit because my frame lays on the ground.

now are there any other kits for the trucks that i should be looking at.
