Default STS boost problem

Well I finally got the kit installed were I could at least start the truck. The truck fired right up and ran a little ruff as the ECM was "learning", One small problem thou, NO BOOST. The electric boost gauge reads a vacuum and will go to 0 at high rpm but won’t go over 0 at all, maybe a bad gauge? Sounds sweet, And I can wait to drive it.
Thanks for any Ideas.

Check all your connectors on the piping and make sure they are all tight. If one blows of it will do that. Also if it is sitting idle and you rev it up you want see any boost.

Yeah, the system has to be under load to see boost. Free reving really doesn't load the turbo enough to see positive pressure on the guage. Blowers are the same way.

Yeah I understand that with very little Engine load the boost will be low, now that the gauge is set up right I think I'm going to have an over boost problem, Just rapping up the engine on the low waste gate setting I'm seeing about 8 pounds of pressure.

NO ...the boost should be 0 with no load not low boost...
