Anybody try removing the stock air intake muffler? Does it help at all? How hard is it to do? Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

 

are you talking about the stupid looking extention off of the air intake tube ??...if so, Yes...I have removed it and I really haven't seen much of a performance gain (but 1-2 HP is kinda hard to feel)

 

Yeah that thing. HOw did you remove it? WHats the easiest way to remove it? What can I cover the hole with?

the electical tape is god ugly, so the cleanest way to do it is a fiberglass patch then sand it down prime it then paint it flat black.
