Stock Injector performance limit?

I'd recommend a set of 42# injectors, so you have a little headroom. You'd be close to maxing out the 31#ers.

agreed. 8.1 marines it is. so more money it is! lol

well one last question. i like the dependablity of my stock oem fuel pump. it will be able to supply this right? im sure it will i just wanna make sure. i sat one night for like 25 mins trying to find hard data on factory pumps and couldnt. plus the whole 30 seconds between each serach doesnt help

You will need injectors with your cam swap.

Also, be sure to get it tuned after the swap, the 8.1 marine injectors require a very good tuner because all parameters to properly tune it are not published.....right Charlie!

Thanks for the input guys. I decided to change directions with the cam a little and went with a custom spec'd cam from Patrick G. Its a little bigger at 222-226, so I will definitely need the injectors. I have not ordered the cam yet, but I will start to collect parts like the 42# injectors pretty soon.

As far as tuning, I have been working close with Charlie to get this thing dialed in with its current mods. He has it running great. When the injectors and cam go in, he will be the first and only person I trust to get it running 100%.
