I am trying to do a custom exhaust on my 5.3 GMC Canyon which is equipped with the same factory exhaust manifolds and 3-bolt flange style connectors as the full size trucks. It has the 3-bolt solid flange on driver's side and ball/flange style on passenger side just like the full size trucks. I want to retain the factory manifolds and come straight off them with solid 3-bolt flanges welded directly to the exhaust pipe just like the driver side setup and eliminate the passenger side setup. This brings me two questions: Will the driver's side welded 3-bolt flange interchange with the passenger side? If so, then I just need to find someone getting rid of their factory exhaust. Second question, does anyone sell just the bare 3 bolt flanges that would mount up to the factory manifolds? If so, then I could buy them and just start from scratch on a custom bent exhaust.

 

Yeah Stainless Works sells both flanges. Just go to there site and under build components and flanges they will be there.

Thanks Three6GMC! They sure are proud of those parts though. 100 bucks for a set.....Ouch! Wish someone else out their made some a little cheaper.

 

Just call them up those are in stainless but Im sure they can make them in mild steel. The price to me is about right tho for the type of material and the thickness. Don't know of anyone right now off the top of my head who makes them but try google you never know.

 

Do I need gaskets for these to keep them from leaking?
