Default Stock Cats

I was at a few exhaust places and they said that with the new catalytic converters it is not a big deal to change them in a full exhaust setup. They both said that the newer cats all have very limited back pressure it is all in the muffler.

What is your guys take on this?

Just changing out a muffler wont net any real gain's in power. You will gain sound quality but that is it. You dont see any gains until you step up to Long tube's!

You might gain 5rwhp by changing out to a good flowing muffler... if you cut the cats off and had it tuned good you might gain 2-3 more... To get any kind of power buy changing exhaust you will need to get some L/T or mid lenth headers... they will prolly net you around 25hp with a good tune
