Default Still toying around with catback ideas

Well, I got an idea for a basic true-dual setup today and called the local exhaust shop. The plan is to run true dual 3" mid-pipe with an H-Pipe into 2 Dynomax Bullet Race mufflers and have 45* turndowns installed before the axle.

My question is will the extremely straight-through design of this setup be too much of a loss of backpressure to where I'll see an actual loss in power? I hope to for FI in a few years, but it will be a while until that happens! The volume of the exhaust doesn't matter to me, but I really want good power as well as a good, loud sound.

Right now while it is stock you would pry see a better gain from a non-true dual setup than a true dual setup. I can't remember what the exact number is but true dual setup isn't really necessary until like 350-400 horsepower if I remember right...

Dual 3" exhaust is way overkill for a 5.3L engine. All you need a 3" single inlet and either single out or dual out. If you must run true dual, use 2.5" piping to not hurt your bottom end power. You will notice a loss of power if you run dual 3".

What about an Aerochamber 3"/3" on the stock Y-pipe and then dumping that b4 the axle? I want a good, loud, noticeable tone, but still want to gain power and tq

Aerochambers sound fantastic. You will love a 3" Aero. I was going to do that same set-up before I found my Corsa cheap.
