Default Replaced Vararam w/ K&N...

I just got done replacing my Vararam King Cobra Ram Air setup w/ a K&N FIPK and the K&N is definately better. Before with the Vararam I couldn't turn my 285/50/20 tires over for the life of me on dry pavement and now with the K&N I can do it fairly easily. I know that may not always be an indication of power but it feels stronger throughout the RPM range, the throttle response is better, and it makes the exhaust sound more aggresive. If anyone is thinking of getting a Vararam: get something else. Now it looks like I will be getting my $300 refund back. Any ideas on what to do with the extra $300??

I've considered swapping out my vararam just for the simplicity of cleaning the filter. The VR, you have to deinstall the intake to clean the filter, pain in the ***.

Yea, that was another reason why I did it. If you have to do almost anything in the engine compartment you had to pretty much disassemble that thing. It was always hard for me to get my hands to all the nuts and hose clamps to take it off.

I have also been thinking about switching mine out for either a K&N or S&B. How do you go about returning it? Do you have to show them proof that it did not live up to their warranty or can you just send it back?

I think you have to show proof of purchase.

I bought mine used, so I'm pretty sure I can't return it to vararam.

Vararam told me to contact whoever I bought it through (Summit) and that they would have no problems with me returning it. I would think that it would just be easier going straight through Vararam though but I guess they think otherwise.
