Default still have rasp?

now Im thoroughly confused. 00ChevyScott and I are trading mufflers (my Magnaflow for his Spintech ) so I cut the muffler off today to send mine out since his was sent out today.

My Problem: I still have rasp!? its noticeably better, there isnt as broad of a range of rasp, but its louder than **** haha. Im anxious for the Spintech tho I've wanted one for awhile.

Whats my solution? Im running Pacesetter LTs, 3in into 3in Y-pipe (no cats). The pipes arent mandrel bent and a pretty bum shop did it, but the guy did pretty decent work, considering my other shop was.... hard to communicate with . Should I go 3in duals? 3- single 4in? thanks for the suggestions guys

My opinion, rasp is a on going battle, trial and error is the only way.

a resonator will take out the rasp, or put the cats back on.

I added a dynomax bullet at the end of each pipe before the tips and it took out the rasp. I have lt's, no cats, and slp loudmouth I. It brought the overall sound level down a notch, but added some deepness and tone to it, and removed the rasp.

I was told to put the cats back on as well. I have Lt's, ORY, into single 3" straight through style magnaflow, and it sounds like an old school farm truck with glass packs to me.

I've had too many different setups on mine. I finally got tired of it all and just put the stock muffler back. I gained some low-end back and with the cutout open I have very little restriction in my exhaust.

hmm... Im not really down with putting the cats back on since I already have practically no space. Hopefully the muffler with be better. But I just cant figure it out haha I may throw a small dynomax bullet on before the muffler if its still bad enough. Not sure I wanna go the stock muffler route. Thanks for the suggestions guys
