You could do what I'm thinking of doing, getting a set of 255-50-16 MT drag radials, they're 26" tall, and they should give you a better effective gear ratio. I'm going to put them on my factory 16" rims, for now. That's only if what you want to do is on the track, not on the street.

Need something for the street Im already spinning all four a little with the nitrous and when the new engine is in with even more nitrous and a higher stall I will have 150-200 more horsepower off the line and I know Ill have some 4wheel drifts going then so I need anice sticky tire for the street and Im probably going to get some cal-tracs too with some QA-1 shocks.

Sounds like the toyos are the way to go then but in the taller size than you had devil. I think with cal-tracs shocks and some better tires Ill be able to hook with the new setup if not screw it ill jsut buy stock in toyo.

You know, If you get that thing hooking off the line with all that power, your going to start braking expensive parts.

Sure do Got the tranny covered hopefully and the rear end has eaton with a t/a diff cover with bearing preloaders plus ill be splitting the power to the front. May need to find away to lock the front. I may have to copy the front end limiters that parish has he seems to think they work well and for 30min with a welder you cant beat it. Im shooting for 600rwhp with the nitrous and mid 400s without it.

I WILL SAY THE ONLY BAD THING I CAN SAY IS THE 275/70/16 (31.5 TALL)ARE NOT AS WIDE AS THE 275/60/16 (28 TALL).THAT IS THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY BAD.

I ONLY PAID 85.00 A TIRE FOR MINE AND I BALANCED THEM MYSELF.

I manage 2.0 60s on toyo 275-60-17s with a Radix, 13.4-101 I think they are the best tire I have ever had on any of my trucks
