Default starting problems

hey has anyone out there ever had a problem with a delay in the starter engaging after you turn the ignition switch to the start position. Sometimes you may have to hold the key to the start position for 2 seconds before the starter will turn. Also the tach and speedo needles are sticking in spots while driving down the road.

Sounds like the starter solenoid is going out. As far as the needles go, I would check the alignment of the instrument overlay. I've heard of people buying those fancy overlays for F-bodys on ebay and having problems with the needles doing what your describing. Probably just the speedo and tach shafts rubbing/sticking on the edge of the overlay.
