thats just a piece of black plastic not aluminum. i got it off of ebay for about $15. it is super easy to work with and strong too. i will need some angle brackets around the non hinged edge to make it really sturdy.

i am making a plug in harness so i can pull the entire thing out of my truck if i need to. there will be over 30 wires going into that thing. i am prety much redoing all the odd ball wireing on the entire truck that i have done over the last year. going to really try and clean it up.

Jim that thing looks killer. I have always wanted to put some electrical goodies in mine. I am thinking about getting a small laptop to keep in my console and use it to tune the truck and log with it. But now i need some where to hide all my gauges and switches.

ok i see it now, to me it looked like aluminum with a black reflection from the back side. now that i take another look i see that it is black plastic. looks like a killer set up.

i had it mounted on the dash but then i added that 2nd part that allowes me to to control boost from speed and those 2 pieces have to be mounted next to each other. there is no good place to mount both of those parts so i am hiding it.
