my buddy has a 2000 z28 and he has a stall i can have for free its a 3600 fuddle. will it fit my truck? if so how much will my gas mileage go down? and is it to big plain and simple... thanks all

yes it will fit but its gonna create alot of heat. mileage will go down pretty bad in the city because fuddle or howards are usually pretty loose but highway locked up should be the same

I dont think it will fit unless you change your flywheel.....Could be wrong though.

an f body torque converter will work.
the main thing that's different on their transmissions is the tail shaft.

sorry but whats a tail shaft? and what about performance wise? and how much is a tranny cooler? do you think it is worth it?

The tail shafts are different lenghts! The tail shaft is at the end of the tranny were the driveshaft connects to the tranny. Yeah, I would get a tranny cooler for sure.

does the converter itself make the extra heat or is it just from the tranny working harder?

uhh.. both, because they are the same thing. well, i dont really know what "tranny working harder" means outside a sexual context.
